Peer Review Policy

JESBER operates a rigorous double-blind peer review system to ensure the integrity, quality, and scholarly contribution of all published articles.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess suitability with respect to the journal’s scope, quality standards, and submission requirements. Manuscripts that meet these criteria shall be assigned to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers.

The identities of both authors and reviewers shall be kept in strict confidence throughout the review process.

· Sending reminders to reviewers on review deadlines  

· Reviewer evaluation and recommendations

· Author revision (where applicable)

· Sending reminders to authors on revision deadlines  

· Final editorial decision by the Editor-in-Chief

Review Timelines

JESBER typically provides a first editorial decision within 6–8 weeks of submission. 

Review Outcomes

The recommendations made by the reviewers from the blind peer-review exercise can vary from

· accept,

· minor revision,

· major revision,

· reject and resubmit,

· reject

Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation where necessary.
